Adult and child CPR with AED use, choking response, and recovery position for confident emergency care.
Overview
The Basic Life Support course prepares practitioners to respond confidently to medical emergencies in both aesthetic and general clinical environments. You’ll learn the key steps of CPR, airway management, AED operation, and patient recovery positioning through live demonstrations and supervised simulation practice.
This essential course builds not only technique but calm decision-making under pressure. You’ll understand the chain of survival, how to recognise early deterioration, and how to maintain safety for yourself and the patient. The skills gained are directly transferable to everyday practice, ensuring you can act effectively and compliantly in emergencies.
What You'll Learn
By the end of this course you’ll be able to:
- Perform adult, child, and infant CPR with correct compression depth and rate.
- Use an AED confidently, following manufacturer and Resuscitation Council guidelines.
- Assess airway and breathing quickly, identifying obstruction or compromise.
- Position patients safely in recovery and support them until advanced help arrives.
- Recognise signs of cardiac arrest, stroke, or anaphylaxis and coordinate a calm, structured response among team members.
